Also known as a blanket, cover sheet bed, comforter, or duvet cover, a bed cover is a large piece of fabric that sits directly over your bedding as a cover. It is known as a bed cover because the entire fabric wholly covers the bed and everything underneath. A bed cover can be used on its own without bed-sheets if you have a quilted cover for your mattress.

 Silk sheets are known for their luxurious feel and smooth texture. Silk sheets are naturally hypoallergenic and can help regulate body temperature, making them a great choice for those with sensitive skin or allergies.  When choosing silk sheets, look for ones with a higher millimeter weight, which indicates the quality and durability of the silk.  Mummy weights of 19 or higher are considered ideal for silk sheets.

Much like a lumberjack’s staple flannel button-up, the cotton in these bed sheets has been shredded and the individual yarns have been shaved to release fibers for a thicker, fuzzier feel. 

 Satin sheets, on the other hand, are made from a variety of materials, including silk, polyester, or nylon, and have a smooth, shiny finish.
